Alex Kelman

Ein Mix aus psychedelischem Post-Punk und elektronischer Musik mit einem kleinen Einschlag von The Soft Moon, Death in Vegas oder Jesus And Mary Chain. Was dabei entsteht sind wunderschön laute Gitarren, eingängigen Tanzrhythmen und mitreißenden Synthesizern. Das alles wird überlagert von einem fesselnden Gesang.

Bis heute hat Alex Kelman 3 Alben veröffentlicht und hat auf mehr als 200 Konzerten in Clubs und Festivals in Europa, China and Südamerika gespielt.

Während seiner langen Musikkarriere erwarb Alex Kelman einen eine sehr große Menge an Erfahrung. Er hat viele Projekte ins Leben gerufen und war an einigen als Gitarrist beteiligt: Punk TV, Hot Zex, TonySoprano, Dsh! Dsh!, und andere Musikbands waren in verschiedenen Jahren auffällig und füllten ihre eigene Nische.

Das neueste Album von Alex Kelman wurde am 15.03.2023 auf dem niederländischen Label Geertruida (Digital, MK), Noiseme (CD) & Psychedelic Umami (LP). Das Album wurde im Zeitraum 2020 – 2022 aufgenommen. Die meisten Tracks wurden von Alex Kelman produziert, einige in Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Künstlern: dem Dreampop Romantic Magnus Josefsson, Shoegaze Band Secrets Of The Third Planet, einem Freund und Kollegen in der früheren Kelman-Band Punk TV – Vladimir Komarov, dem Old School Electronic Guru Inbox und der verrückten Elektrorockerin Kelly Perry.

Vor der Veröffentlichung des neuen Albums präsentierte Alex Kelman die Single “VHS” (Vysoka Hranica Snov - High Limit of Dreams), die in Zusammenarbeit mit der Shoegaze / Dream Pop – Band Secrets Of Of The Third Planet (Gesang und Gitarren von E.Frankevich) aufgenommen wurde und durch einen Videoclip, gefilmt und geschnitten von Anastasia Maystrenko und Vadim Levovenya.

Mix of psychedelic post-punk and electronic music with a 90s twist from The Soft Moon, Death In Vegas or The Jesus And Mary Chain. Output is a mixture of beautifully noisy guitars, catchy dance beats and rousing synthesizers, layered with captivating vocals.

Till now Alex Kelman released 3 full albums, played more than 200 concerts over clubs and festivals in Europe, China, South America.

During his long musical career, Alex Kelman has gained a fairly large musical baggage. He created many projects himself and took part in some as a guitarist: Punk TV, Hot Zex, TonySoprano, Dsh! Dsh! and other music bands in various years were noticeable and filled their own niche.

The latest Alex Kelman's album “Ilusia” was released 15.03.2023 on Dutch label Geertruida (Digital, MK), Noiseme (CD) & Psychedelic Umami (LP). Album was recorded during 2020-2022. Most of the tracks produced by Alex Kelman, some in collaboration with different artists: dreampop romantic Magnus Josefsson, shoegaze band Secrets Of The Third Planet, friend and colleague in the previous Kelman’s band Punk TV - Vladimir Komarov, old-school electronics guru Inbox and crazy electorocker Kelly Perry.

Ben Bloodygrave

Kurz und knapp: "Ben Bloodygrave ist eine Berliner 1-Mann Punkband mit Synthesizern."

Sicher stellt sich darunter jeder etwas anderes vor, deshalb doch noch etwas genauer: Ben war früher als Drummer, Bassist und Vokalist in "klassischen" Punkbands unterwegs, interessierte sich aber immer mehr für Synthesizer und startete 2008 sein Solo-Projekt. Seit er 2009 von Freiburg nach Berlin zog, tourt er durch Europa und präsentiert seine erste LP " Tanz den Firlefanz" die auf dem eigenen, gleichnamigen Label erschienen ist.

Musikalische Inspiration kommt von Minimalwave und EBM der 80er Jahre, sowie von "Idolen" á la Schleimkeim, Telekoma, GG Allin, deren Stücke (neben den eigenen Songs) als originelle synthetische Coverversionen im Programm sind.

Auf der Bühne geht´s voll nach vorne!
Wenn die Stimmung brodelt, dann springt man für ´ne runde "Disco-Pogo" auch mal gerne von der Bühne und schwingt die Eisenkette.

Fara

Industrial punk / gothic / post – punk

Abstrakt:

Ein Tropfen Cola in einem Supermarkt. Ein Stück Salami in einer örtlichen Metzgerei. Beutel in Beutel, Beton in Beton. Zwei Arbeiter bedienen Saitenmechanismen unter der monotonen Begleitung einer gehörlosen Trommlerin. Engel verkünden den Aufstieg der Schwäche. Es wird nichts gelöst.
Die Musik mit slowakischen Texten ist eine Mischung aus gitarrengetriebenem Industrial, basierend auf monotone Drum – Patterns mit einem Gothic- und Post – Punk – Ansatz.

Geschichte:

Die Band Fara entstand um 2013 in Prag.
Die zentrale Figur ist Fero, der sich auch mit elektronischer Industrial–Musik beschäftigt, beispielsweise in der Gruppe Standard Society.
Die Band begann jedoch, in Košice Konzerte mit elektronischem Schlagzeug zu geben. Die definierte weitgehend einen neuen Sound für die zuvor auf Gitarren basierende Punkband. Das erste DIY – Album "Továreň na odpadky" (Waste Factory - Abfallfabrik) wurde 2019 auf Tabačka Records veröffentlicht.

Der Titel “Depress” fand seinen Weg zum tschechischen Radio 1 und zur Zusammenstellung düsterer tschechoslowakischer Musik Dark Tunes. (darktunes.cz)

Es entstand auch ein ernsteres Musikvideo “Coma”.

Die visuelle Identität wurde von Michal Dankulinec erstellt.

Nach Mrakus` Auswanderung (Bass, Loops, Vox) wurde er nach einem langen Schlaf ersetzt.

Nach einer Reihe von Konzerten (Bratislava, Košice, Kyiv) beschloss die Band, die Arbeit am begonnenen Bau in einem Tempo fortzusetzen, das Arbeitssicherheit und ein Leistungs- / Preisverhältnis garantiert.

In diesem Jahr, 2024, wird Fara beim Pohoda – Festival auftreten.

Droplet of cola in a supermarket. Slice of salami in a local butcher shop. Sachet inside a sachet, concrete inside a concrete. Two workers operating stringed mechanisms with the monotonous accompaniment of a deaf drummer girl. Angels herald the ascension of debility. Nothing is going to be resolved.

The music with lyrics in Slovak is mixture of guitar-driven industrial based on monotonous drum patterns with a gothic and post-punk approach.

+ History +

The band Fara originated in Prague around 2013. The central figure is Fero, who also engages in electronic industrial music, for example, in the group Standard Society.

However, the band began performing concerts with electronic drums in Košice. This largely defined a new sound for the previously guitar-based punk band.

The first DIY album "Továreň na odpadky" (Waste Factory) was released on Tabačka Records in 2019. The track "Depress" found its way to Czech Radio 1 and to the compilation of dark Czechoslovak music Dark Tunes (darktunes.cz). A more serious music video "COMA" was also created.

The visual identity was created by Michal Dankulinec.

After Mrakus' emigration (bass, loops, vox), he was replaced by Zoder after a long sleep. After a series of concerts (Bratislava, Košice, Kyiv), the band decided to continue working on the initiated construction at a pace that guarantees work safety and an unbeatable performance/price ratio.

This year, 2024, Fara will perform at the Pohoda festival.

Lahka Muza

begannen ihr Musikerleben 1984 in der Tschechoslowakei.
Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich Lahka Muza zu einer der originellsten
Dark-Wave-Bands aus Ost -/ Mitteleuropa entwickelt. Die starke Stimme von Gudrun und originaler Elektro -/ Gitarrenmusik prägen ihre Musik. Ihre Lieder sind in slowakischer Sprache.
Sie haben mittlerweile 9 Alben aufgenommen. Erst dieses Jahr erschien ihr 9tes Album “Piesne Ticha / The songs of silence”
Lahka Muza spielten auf einigen wichtigen Dark–Music–Festivals in Europa wie z.B. auf dem Wave-Gothic–Treffen, Beyond the Veil, Castel Party,
enuo Juodaragis, Hradby Samoty, Schattenwelt.

LAHKA MUZA started their musical life in 1984 in Czechoslovakia. Through the years, LAHKA MUZA has become one of the most original dark wave bands from East/Middle Europe. LAHKA MUZA brings to the scene a strong female voice by Gudrun and original electro/guitar music (677 & iNOVA) in Slovak language. They recorded 9 albums, actually at 2024 “Piesne ticha/The Songs of Silence”.

They played some of the most important dark music festivals & events in Europe (for example Wave Gothic Treffen, Beyond The Veil, Castle Party, Menuo Juodaragis, Kunikunda Lunaria, Hradby Samoty, Schattenwelt...)

Das slowakische Elektropunk / Postpunk / New Wave Projekt ist ein

Ein – Frauen – Projekt.

Ingrid Rudavská ist Komponistin, Tasten-, Gitarren- und andere Instrumentenspielerin sowie Textautorin.

LMS startete 2017 mit der Veröffentlichung der Demo CDEP “Overload result”.

Im Dezember 2019 veröffentlichte es seine erste CD “Perfect Disorder”, aufgenommen im Studio TC Lemons. Die CD besteht aus 12 Songs in englischer als auch in slowakischer Sprache. In den Texten geht es um den Mangel an menschlicher Kommunikation und dem Intresse, den technischen Fortschritt und seine Zerstörung sowie die Auswirkung auf menschliche Gefühle, Emotionen, Meinungen, Ideologien und Beziehungen.

Die Lieder stellen darin den Kontrast zwischen Menschenmenge und Einsamkeit oder Liebe und Wissenschaft dar, daher der Name “Love my Science”.

Die Songs sind voller Spannung und Abwesenheit von Mensch und Natur, Ironie, Sarkasmus, Zynismus, Entfremdung sowie Apathie und Lethargie.

Die CD umfasst weitere Stilrichtungen:

Elektropunk, Punk, Poste, New Wave oder Indie.

Das Chaos der heutigen Welt ist ein Leitmotiv aller Songs in “Perfect Disoder” sowie im zweiten Album “Patterns”, das am 26. Juli 2021 veröffentlicht wurde. Es enthält 10 Songs, die verschiedene Stile der Dark – Wave – Musik umfassen.

Es gibt elektronische Disko – Songs wie “Desktop” und “Future” und auf der anderen Seite Indie – Balladen wie z.B. “Don`t talk” oder “Crash”. “Patterns” sowie CDEP “Worn out people” sind digitale Alben. “Worn out people” ist eine fünf Titel umfassende CDEP, die ebenso wie das vorherige Album “Patterns” im Heimstudio aufgenommen wurde.

Die CDEP wurde am 17. Januar 2023 aufgenommen und veröffentlicht.

Jetzt arbeitet LMS an einer neuen digitalen CD namens “Esquired”, die nächstes Jahr erscheinen soll.

LMS hat auch Songs zu den CD – Compilation “Synth Slowakei”, “Dark Tunes Vol. II und III”. Es handelt sich um eine tschechische Zusammenstellung. Ein Song wurde auf Vinyl veröffentlicht: “Wave Earplug Nr.5”.

LMS trat live in Bratislava für Radio FM, in Trnava für Radio Bunker, in Brünn bei der Gothic – Party auf. Zusammen mit der Band Alvarez Perez gab es einen weiteren Auftritt in Brünn. Sie gab zusammen mit Alex Kelman ein Konzert in Vsetin und spielte in Prag bei dem berühmten Gothic Treffen.

LMS wird am 30. Oktober in ihrer Heimatstadt Bratislava im Club Weranda mit einer Band aus Brünn und den USA auftreten.

Ingrid Rudavská spielt sehr viele Instrumente und interessiert sich auch für Malerei, Schmuckherstellung, Färben von Taschen und T – Shirts, Töpfern, das Theater oder Schreiben. Sie hatte einige Fotoausstellungen und veröffentlichte ihr Horror – und Science – Fiction Kurzgeschichtenbuch: “Afterparty”.

Slovak electropunk/postpunk/new wave project is one woman project. Ingrid Rudavská is a composer, keys, guitar and other instruments player and lyrics writer.

LMS started at the end of year 2017, when it released demo CDEP “Overload result”. In December 2019 it released its first CD “Perfect disorder” recorded in studio TC Lemons. It has 12 songs both in English and Slovak languages. The lyrics talk about the lack of human communication and interest, technological progress and its destruction and impact on human emotions, feelings, opinions, ideology and relationships. Songs depict the contrast between crowd and loneliness in it or love and science, so it is where the name Love my science comes from. Songs are full of tension and absence of mankind and nature, irony, sarcasm, cynicism, alienation as well as apathy and lethargy. CD comprises more styles: electropunk, punk, postpone, new wave or indie. Chaos of today’s world is a leitmotif of all the songs in “Perfect disorder” as well as in the second album “Patterns” released in July 26th 2021. It has 10 songs comprising various styles in dark wave music. There are electronic disco songs like “Desktop” and “future” and on the other hand indie ballads f.e.:

“Don’t talk” or “Crash.” “Patterns” as well as CDEP “Worn out people” are digital albums. “Worn out people” is a five track CDEP recorded in home studio as well as previous album “Patterns.” CDEP was recorded and released in January 17th 2023. Now LMS is working on a new digital CD called “Expired,” which is due next year.

LMS has also contributed by songs in CD compilations “Synth Slovakia”, “Dark Tunes vol. ll and lll.” It is a Czech compilation. One song was released on vinyl “Wave earplug n.5.”

LMS has performed live in Bratislava for radio FM, in Trnava for

radio Bunker, in Brno in Gothic party, in Brno, too, this time with a group

Alvarez Perez, in Vsetín with Alex Kelman and in Prague in famous

Prague Gothic Treffen party.

LMS will perform back in home town, Bratislava in October 30th in

Weranda club with a group from Brno and USA.

Ingrid Rudavská can play a lot instruments and is also interested in painting, jewels making, dying bags and T-shirts, pottery, drama or writing.

She has had a few pictures exhibitions and published her horror and sci-fi short story book “Afterparty”.

Nik Fields

Mitten in der veröffentlichungsarmen Zeit zwischen den Jahren hat Nik Fields sein Debütalbum „Pool Jazz“ vorgelegt. Im Video zur jüngsten Single „I’m Still Young“ taucht der Musiker aus Kassel dann auch tatsächlich im Pool unter. Mit Jazz haben wir es hier allerdings nicht zu tun. Unser heutiger Track des Tages klingt eher so, als hätte Paul Banks – wie in den Anfangstagen seiner Band Interpol – wieder die Western-Gitarre zur Hand genommen. Was er 2020 mit der Supergroup Muzz ja tatsächlich in die Tat umsetzte. Paul Banks und Nik Fields sind nicht nur beide mit einer sonoren Stimme gesegnet; sie eint auch ein Hang zur Sentimentalität. Mit dem kühlen Post-Punk von Interpol hat Fields‘ Musik darüber hinaus wenig zu tun. Stattdessen erwarten uns auf „Pool Jazz“ in den 1990ern verwurzelte Alternative-Sounds und Americana-Reverenzen.

Nik Fields, bürgerlich Nik Baczewski, ist bisher vorrangig mit seiner Band Chin in Erscheinung getreten, die musikalisch in eine ähnliche Kerbe schlägt. Zudem ist er seit 2012 Gitarrist der seit 1990 aktiven deutsch-italienischen Gothic-Rocker Madre Del Vizio. Auch das Solodebüt von Nik Fields atmet den Geist der 90er-Jahre, als Alternative-Rock auf dem Höhenflug war. In unserem Track des Tages macht Baczewski seinen Frieden mit dem Umstand, in seinen Dreißigern und einer neuen Lebensphase angekommen zu sein. So antizyklisch dieses Debüt daherkommen mag: Es ist nie zu spät, Musik zu machen.

„I’m Still Young“ ist die dritte Single des Albums „Pool Jazz“ von Nik Fields, das auf dem Label Worldroom Recordings erschienen ist.

PitchBlack Inc.

"Nach der 2005 erschienenen Debüt-EP „PitchBlack Inc." und der 2008 veröffentlichten Remix-CD „Folge mir" stand 2010 für PitchBlack Inc fest: „Alles ist gesagt".

Doch die Welt dreht sich weiter, verändert sich und 2021 startet PitchBlack Inc. in eine neue Phase.

Die Personen hinter dem Projekt treten als Beobachter in den Hintergrund, das Personal ist unwichtig, relevant ist, was bleibt.

Musik ist nie ohne Emotion, Musik h das Projekt nun gereift zurück, um mit ihrem Werk Empathie und Neugier zu transportieren.

In der zweiten aktiven Phase hat sich der Blickwinkel verändert. Mit dem kommenden Material wird von außen beobachtend, eher neutral als subjektiv gearbeitet. PitchBlack Inc. ist heute mehr denn je ein künstlerisches Projekt, dessen Werke zwar erzählen, aber nicht erklären wollen."

After the debut EP "PitchBlack Inc." released in 2005 and the remix CD "Folge mir" in 2008 PitchBlack Inc. was set: Everything is said.

But the world keeps turning and changing and in 2021 PitchBlack Inc. entered into a new phase.

The People behind the project take a back seat as observers, personnel is unimportant, what persists is relevant.

Music is never bar emotions. The project falls back to transporting empathy and curiousness with their work.

In the second active phase the point of view has changed. With the new material there is observation from the outside, more neutral than subjective.

Today more than ever PitchBlack Inc. is an artistic project wanting to narrate rather than to explain.
